Re: Women and STEM scholarship

As a mentor, I would suggest that you

- please plan ahead when asking for recommendations (been asked at 3 pm with a 5 pm deadline)
- check the spellcheck before submitting (I saw "my litter brother" in one application)
- don't ask for a generalized recommendation when you're applying to both music and STEM schools ("This student's interest in robotics and cutting edge music...")

As a mentor, I really, really want everyone to have a great chance for the many scholarships out there and will try very hard to write a terrific recommendation.
