Do we want to get an amazing human player bot and then get another not so good human player bot and make them try to play the landfill or, do we want an okay landfill bot and have a not so good hp bot? Either way, the last pick for the first few alliances won't be able to stack much. So it makes more sense to go with whichever robot is best, human player or landfill. That's what we did at CORI offseason and we ended up winning. It will be interested to see how picks go with such a tight field.
The thing is, once you get past the top 3 or 4 HP robots, you pretty much have a group of bots with the same stacking ability (1 6 stack). So with such a shallow playing field, alliances can afford to make medium ability (1-2 stacks) landfill bots their first pick.
