You sure can get a bin under the bar; but only if you hit it hard enough. The bin was sitting right in front of the bar and we made a full speed run (9-10fps) with our robot Heather (129 lbs) and smashed into it. The tote literally just exploded. We didn't really care about the tote, we just wanted to get ourselves under. There was no penalty or DQ. At the AZ regional, the refs were pretty cool about stuff like that. I know deep in their hearts they loved to see parts flying and robots crashing.
