The tires are Axial 1.9 and 2.2 Chisels from Proline, on Axial 1.9 and 2.2 8 Hole beadlock hubs. We directly hex broach the axial hubs (which yes, unfortunately means you have to buy new hubs each year for comp bot for an essentially COTS part).
Those look about like the hubs we used (Brando brought 'em in to try)

Guess it's just a practice thing, I remember it getting easier over time but it still seemed to be a pain. Better lighting might have helped.
