What teams and events are in my area" link on usfirst, you can get an exhaustive list of teams for any recent year, unfortunately only 25 per page, but the page number is in the URL, so you can script wget or similar calls to just keep getting 25 at a time until you're done. Leave the state at "All States" and radius at the "- Select -" value, and you'll get the world. The usfirst site supposedly only reflects teams that have registered, so the numbers are always low for the current year. However, they are always filled with "ghost teams" that never show up at an event. Oh - as I look at it now, this only covers US teams will that be enough?.
