At this point, Idaho (24 teams) is the only one I can think of offhand. MOST events will have 30+ teams, and so far, there are only 10 teams playing, so that's 3/team with one tier.

We don't "slate" events to be broken into tiers--if the number of teams is less than the number of players*3 (and I can't recall for sure, but I want to say that it's actually (# of players * 3) + 1, to allow for somebody dropping out), the players are randomized and then broken into 2 or more tiers. However, that's determined when the draft is set up (because you never know, several teams might suddenly add or drop). Otherwise, it's just wherever you land.


Draft runners may want to run some extra rounds of randomizing, their choice... Or not. I may or may not know anything about occasionally doing an extra couple of rounds because somebody was at the top for the umpteenth time, or was not near the top and hadn't been for a while, and I certainly may or may not know anything about why the program randomizes no fewer than three times before generating the random list of players for each draft...
