We did a reveal video for the first time. This year on our off season bot. We finished the bot the day before the competition and I had one of our members use my rig to film it. I combined it with clips from earlier in the build and we had a reveal video. I have a very good editing work flow and can a reveal video edited and uploaded in an hour. (I'm willing to help any teams in that area). I love reveal videos. I've watched all of the videos in the last 2 years of Playlists.
A point I saw in what the representative from 1114 said was that no one expressed interest in that area. If no team member likes filming has their own equipment and are willing to edit it at home on their own time, then yes it is not worth it.
We now have a dedicated video team and we are shooting a documentary. If anyone in the lower NY area wants a reveal video done we can help you guys out. Also if anyone wants me to edit it I can do it for you or send it to my editor.
