Re: Low Bar
In my opinion the low bar is the best way to design for. It's always on the field, you can do it speedily, and it allows for more high or low cycles (which in turns leads to a higher chance of destroying the tower).
There's nothing stopping you from putting attachments that when not extended are above 16 inches but when deployed can pass under it like a floor pickup or catapult.
