Our FTC teams chose 100:1 VP gearboxes for their Res-Q hangers, two per robot (as has been suggested earlier in this thread.)

Before they added a secondary clip to the robot to hold it in place once it reached max height, their robot slid back quite a bit, and they don't weigh nearly as much as FRC.

You might be able to get up there, but you'll want other mechanisms making sure you have a secure hold.
