cRi3D 2016 denkbots Reveal

Good Afternoon ChiefDelphi!

Over at denkbots, several of our team members are FIRST mentors and alumni. As another way to give back, we are attempting to share our knowledge via a “Conceptual Robot in Three Days” or cRi3D, based on the popular Robot in Three Days Ri3D project. We wrote three segments to explain our approach to robot design, in hopes that other teachers and mentors who might not be familiar with this approach may adapt and employ it to broaden their students’ horizons.

There is an intro to the FRC 2016 Game and cRi3D followed by three segments on robot design.

The three segments are:

Game Theory
Strategy and Research
Robot Requirements

These three segments culminate in The Reveal of our cRi3D!

Our goal is not to give the answer; it is to teach the process. We hope these articles will expose students to some new techniques and help those mentors who can find the start of a new season a little bit overwhelming.

This is our first time writing an article like this, so all feedback is appreciated and welcome!

If you find these articles helpful and would like to suggest future topics, just let us know on the denkbots' facebook or on twitter @denkbots
