Yes, much thanks to 365 and 522 in the finals - unfortunately the rules prevented us from replacing a somewhat-damaged robot in between rounds. Oh well, we fought the good fight (and I got to make a green loin-cloth

) .
This has been our most successful event ever. Our robot worked flawlessly in autonomous mode (provided yours truly selected the right program...hey, 1 out of 9+ ain't bad). Once we figured out our drive, we were doing great out there...it was beautiful.
We recieved the Leadership in Control award for our utilization of the gyrochip and other electronic/programming features. And of course we recieved the Regional Chairman's Award.
Sorry for tooting my horn, but this is the first time we've ever achieved success of this level and needless to say we are proud.
Thanks:
365 and 522 for being fantastic alliance partners
651 - I spent quite a bit of time working with you guys, and I was cheering for you every step of the way. You pulled together and deserved that Engineering Award (you didn't do too shabby in the finals, either!).
321 - I briefly worked with you guys on auton programming, and getting your bot back up. With our pit next to yours, it was great to see people from all around come together to get your bot working. In the end, you guys ended up doing pretty well!
1218 - You guys deserved that Rookie of the Year award. I corresponded with a mentor about using the gyro, and I was glad to see you guys working it out as the competition progressed. And in the end - you won!
357 - Pit-mates again. Thanks for everything...tools, advice, and letting us watch your robot as it grew.
272 - Thanks for the advice, and congrats on finals!
I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head, but there were countless others who I am surely forgetting! Thanks!
