Versaplanetary Integrated Encoder Magnet Distance

We ordered several integrated encoders and, when properly assembled, the LED on the magnetic encoder is yellow instead of green (http://www.ctr-electronics.com/downloads/pdf/Magnetic%20Encoder%20User's%20Guide.pdf).

I'm aware that we can still technically operate with the yellow LED, but you'd think a COTS solution would have set the distance to the magnet correctly.

Has anyone else experience this? Any potential solutions?
