Rookie Question

Hello all,

Although not a rookie team, this is the first year we are using VEX Pro ball shifter gearboxes as a opposed to Andymark Single Speed Gearboxes. Needless to say (or not) we are running into a couple problems mainly that the default "long" output shaft of the two CIM motor two speed gearbox is too short to reach through our fram and support a wheel and the two sprockets.

Is there a way to extend the drive shaft or another way to incorporate them into our design? Thank you in advance for your help.
