We are having pretty good luck raffling off robotic vacuum cleaners, called Roomba's. We buy it for $250 or so (after we have sold some tickets so we have the money for it), and then sell 500 tickets at $5.00 each. Once the tickets are sold, we do the drawing, and then do it again. Last year, we got a lot of prizes donated, ran around picking them up, etc. This is simpler.

The Roomba is made by iRobot which is a high tech robotics company. They are the company that made the body for NASA/JPL's "Urban Robot", also known as "Urbie", a backpackable robot that can go upstairs, avoid obstacles, etc. In other words, they know how to make robots.
