I highly encourage you to check out R63 to determine whether or not it would even be legal.
Even if it were legal, remember that the radio is programmed to be in bridge mode at competitions. Teams have no access to the WPA keys used by the field, so even if you got it working back home, once you got to the competition, you wouldn't be able to connect to that network anymore.
