I don't recall the number, but there was a team at Northern Lights with a monitor connected as a secondary display.

The model isn't particularly important. As long as your laptop has video output of some kind (most do- look for DVI, HDMI, mini-HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.), any monitor with the matching input will work for you!

The one thing this team ran into that I would encourage you to look into is that you really need a way to secure the monitor to the driver station. Robots barrel into the alliance wall more often than anyone would like this year, and monitors are at a particularly high risk of falling off the ledge if they are just sitting there.
