We'll just start with:
If it is NOT on the approved motor list, it is illegal. (And automotive motors aren't the main motors, BTW--they're barely used, even though they're unlimited.) Automotive motors of the listed types are legal; other automotive motors probably aren't.
If you wanted to get motors made legal--for next season, at any rate--you'd email
frcteams@firstinspires.org and make the suggestion.
