Being from North Carolina, I must protest this gross misuse of the word “mountain” to apply to solely to the Rockies. The Rockies are okay and all, but let’s be honest here. We all know that the Appalachian mountains are, of course, the best mountains. They were here first, they span into 13 states to the Rockies' 8, and they are home to the epitome of the English language (

Considering that the Appalachian mountains are the best mountains, that of course makes the FIRST teams of the Appalachian states a force to be reckoned with:

Rocket City Regional, the
Finger Lakes Regional, the
Central Maryland Event, and the
Central Virginia Event.
