Network Camera Connection Slowness

We just came back from our first competition, and one of our issues was how slow it took for the SmartDashboard to connect to the robot's network camera. (M1013, Around 3 minutes after robot powerup, ~1-2 min after field connection) This camera is only used for driver visibility, not targeting.

We also have a USB camera that worked almost instantly once the robot connected.

Any suggestions? (I just thought of static IPs, good defaults?)

Connection: Camera plugged into network jack in radio, using recommended mDNS names.

A robot is like a campfire: it takes a while to bulid it, and then everyone surounds it!
