Inside of rule 3.1.3 it says: There are videos where you can definitely see the defense be "damaged." This gives them a 40 point auto if they make both boulders which is amazing, but could really change the play and the outcome of the match, especially towards the end of a regional when one or two points decide the blue banner from the finalists.
