With St. Louis, it's booked after you qualify, close to the venue, or cheap--pick two. At this point in the game, your only reasonably priced hotels are probably going to be towards the airport. (Thank TWA for making St. Louis a hub all those years ago.) The good news is that MetroLink is convenient to the venue if there's a station nearby--you're just going to have to wake up bright and early to do the commute.
