It is with a heavy heart that I must notify the FIRST community of the loss of one of our members. Dan Creasy passed away unexpectedly this past Saturday due to a motorcycle accident.

Dan was the lead Scouting/ Strategy mentor for FRC Team 869. He worked with his group to both analyze other teams as well as build positive relationships with other teams at our competitions.

Dan was not just a mentor of team 869 but a true friend and supporter of what FIRST stands for. His analytical mind, great positivity and devotion to gracious professionalism is something that we were all privileged to experience.

Although we have lost Dan, his memory will live on as we strive every day to measure up to the gold standard that he set for us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dan’s friends and family during this tragic time. He will be truly missed. May he rest in peace.
