Re: 2016 Hopper Subdivision

Thanks to all the great teams that played so hard in the Hopper subdivision. Some of the teams that caught our attention for being consistent high goal shooters include 4334, 1323, 4967, 294, 869, 1538 and 4587.

A special shout out to the no. 2 seed alliance of 971, 1323, 193 and 5254 who gave us some very strong opposition in the finals. Our great friends from California (971 and 1323) build consistently good robots and, in my very humble opinion, 971 (when performing at it's peak) was the best robot at champs this year.

Thank you 148 for believing in us and helping us form an Einstein worthy alliance. It was great to reunite with one of the greatest teams in first after going to the semis of Einstein with you in 2013. Your team is quality from top to bottom and it was an honor to go deep into the Einstein finals with you.

Managing to pick up both 364 and 2990 was unbelievable. You guys are both super teams to work with and played the third role on our alliance perfectly. Watching 364 feed balls to help us to the world high score (without penalties) of 270 was a joy. 2990 stepped in on Einstein and played stellar defense against the Newton and Carver alliances.

1678 had a blast at champs this year and playing with and against some of the best teams in FIRST made the experience all the better.
