Weight with laptop is probably about 20lbs (haven't actually weighed it) but the main problem with the weight is that it's weirdly balanced, the two uprights are handles for control and short duration lifting and the head mount is to help with the balance so your hands don't have to apply counter torque for long duration walking.
And both of us on the drive team could easily see over it because I (the operator) am 6'3" and the driver is about 6'1"
