Possibly helpful is Sundial, which Pat Fairbank was the point-man for from 2005 until about 2008 when the switch from 900 MHz radios to wifi-based control led to a ban on extra wifi access points in the pits:

Obviously, this hasn't been in active development for close to a decade thanks to the wifi ban. But there might be something in it for you still.
