I would argue that people should be truthful about who they are and what they believe if they want to contribute to the conversation here. If a person has a belief that they do not want tied to their reputation then they should not bring it up. Forum accounts like the tones here provide a community through accountability, and there are plenty of other sites where anonymity is the norm.
Now, if someone wants to ask for advice anonymously, in order to protect identities, I think that is perfectly fine. Asking for advice doesn't always need to be tied to a person/reputation.
