Just a crazy idea here: How about building two new robots for the Capital City Classic on Oct. 22-23?

You could start your "Build Season" on Sept. 1st., work all the way up to the competition, and give all of your students valuable experience at an off-season event. We will be running workshops during the event as well.

This came to mind because our students are building another robot for CCC as well, so I thought I'd pass on the idea.
