We had a code-cave, a few years ago. Programmers went in, but not much code came out until we ran a long Ethernet cable to reach the robot.
After our shop was completely remodeled, we lost the code-cave. But, now we can see our programmers. They actually touch the robot, and not just to plug in! Some of them even drive! I don't ever want them going back in a cave again.
