My interpretation of the rules may be incorrect, but I believe the last couple years (well, this year at least) that duct tape was an allowable substance. And please note that I'm doing this by memory so I may be off. If you'll notice there was no ban on adhesives this year and they may have been on the additional hardware list. Anyway, duct tape is most definately a fastner and without the ban on adhesives, duct tape should be allowable. Frankly, I wouldn't want to use duct tape on the robot (well, we did in '98 but that was merely decoration).

Matt who wonders if robots will get less sturdy next year because people will realize they can use duct tape....
