Re: CAGE Match 2016

Teams 1741 Red Alert and [secondary team] 1471 Cranberry Alarm would like to thank everyone involved in making CAGE Match 2016 a great event. It really is a wonderful rookie experience. Of the 10 students we had rotate through drive team roles, only 1 was a returning drive team member from the 2016 FRC season.

Thank you to the 1741 alliance partners, 1747 and 868, for working with us on securing a win at the event. I didn't realize until after the tournament that our alliance consisted of the 3 District Chairman's Award teams from this past season -- it's always a pleasure to work with teams that exemplify the ideals of FIRST.

Thank you to the 1471 alliance partners, 1529 and 1018, for taking the very tough road all the way to the finals matches from the 6th seed. We were able to outscore some very capable alliances, even pushing the finals match to a tiebreaker. It was quite ironic to see an all red, blue alliance through the whole elimination tournament. We hope you enjoy your cranberry juice!

Thank you to our fans for both teams. You guys really rocked. You had to pull double duty through the whole tournament, culminating with double cheering for both alliances in the finals matches.

Lastly, thank you to all the volunteers, judges, and referees who make events like CAGE Match possible. I tout it to my students as a fun, low pressure off season event, which it totally was.
