Re: Cow Town ThrowDown - Oct 28-29

Wanted to offer our sincere thanks to Cerner, Lee’s Summit High School and Team Driven for hosting another world class offseason event. Great teams, fantastic volunteers and tasty concessions all made for a wonderful weekend. 9 qualification matches for every team!!! On behalf of Team Titanium, FRC 1986, Thank you. A great value and eye opening experience for our new team members.

We’ve been a big fan of The Broncobots (FRC 1987) for years, and thrilled to get another chance to play together. I think the last time we shared an eliminations alliance was the 2012 Ozark Mountain Brawl. That team-up also fared well if I remember correctly. The 20 point autonomous, ability to hit the shot from range, and smooth driving over the defenses all had our scouts hoping you’d be available in the draft. Our combined offensive abilities allowed us to deploy our third pick in defense and still get to the capture bonus. Thank you for being great friends, and continuing to inspire us with your creative ideas, positive energy, and tremendous work ethic.

We loved teaming up with the Lutheran Roboteers, FRC 4329, in last year’s CTTD and thought that their great driving skills would shine in a defensive roll if given the chance. Well in our 2nd Quarterfinal they came through big, almost completely shutting down 3 low goal scorers while we were nursing a failed battery on the offensive end. We would not have seen victory that match without their supreme efforts. A classy group who I personally look forward to seeing every year.

We got to meet Apophis, FRC 5006, before their rookie season at the 2013 Ozark Mountain Brawl, and have been following their rise in FRC ever since. We were impressed then, and still impressed today with the poise they display on and off the field.

The fans in the stands couldn’t ask for a closer set of finals. We went to a 3rd match with penalty points ultimately deciding the winner. Much respect for 3284, 525, and 1094. Incredible machines expertly driven.

Surprised 2001 didn’t get their name called for elims. Capable of 5 low goals and smartly driven. Can’t wait to see what you build next year. You looked good this weekend.
