Hey y'all!
For those of you in the New York City area: Some students from Stuyvesant High School, home to FRC 694, StuyPulse, and FTC 310 and 479, Fission and Fusion, will be holding a hackathon, StuyHacks, on December 3rd. I'm one of the head organizers for StuyHacks, as well as a member of StuyPulse, and I thought that some of y'all would be interested in attending- personally, I would love to see FIRSTers attend.
For those of you not in the know: Hackathons are basically collaborative coding competitions. Students form teams of 2-4 students and spend the duration of the event working on a project, or hack, such as a website or mobile app. Hacks can even use hardware, such as Raspberry Pi's or Myo Armbands. No experience is required- workshops and mentors will be provided.
StuyHacks is for high school students, though we are willing to accept middle school students. Sign up to attend
here. Note that you need to create a MyMLH account in order to register. If you're interesting in mentoring, sign up
here.
