Now, if you wanted to make your own, you could probably get away with that, if you could find a good backing. Note that electrical tape is specifically allowed in the AHL(revised Update #2), but ONLY as an electrical insulator. Based on this, I'd say that no other types of tape are allowed. Is it to late to ask Eric a question?

I can't remember the rule that we felt invalidated duct tape from before but I didn't see anything specifically preventing it. I think that duct tape would fall under the unlimited fastner rule though.
