We had a helical storage on 1726 that year and used a piece of non-slip shelf liner for our flaps instead of bristles. They worked well and cost virtually nothing. You're local Walmart probably has rolls of it stocked up right now.
I think with the style of this years game pieces, shelf liner is an excellent material to have around.
