Re: WCD Center Drop Size?

I personally prefer 1/16th with the colsons. However with that being said and looking at your cad models, I would think about using a four wheel drive or spacing the outer wheels more to the outside of the robot.

Turning ability is all about your wheelbase, and a 6 wheel drive with a drop center effectively cuts your wheelbase in half allowing for easier turning but there is a point where you can turn too easily and its difficult to control as a driver. a ~5" long wheelbase on a wide robot as you have proposed is in my opinion far deep into the difficult to control territory.

Teams have successfully ran bases with a perfectly square 4wd wheelbase (I believe something like ~20x20 on 2590 in 2013)
