So we could be talking past each other.

Here's what I meant by 2*M:

M is the number of matches in the event. For each match, you have 2 alliance scores (one for red and one for blue). Yes?

So there are a total of 2 times M alliance scores. And you have one error for each alliance score. Yes?

So for example if the event had 80 qual matches, there would be 160 alliance scores, and therefore 160 errors to add up. Yes? No?
