Just an FYI about brightness - more brightness isn't necessarily better. As soon as you saturate the colour of light that your LED is, adding more brightness will actually hurt your vision (no pun intended ). 254's talk from champs this year covered this, as well as a bunch of other useful stuff.

Last year we ran with a single green LED, FWIW.

That being said, the advice to look at other models of LEDs and LED rings from superbrightleds is still good.
