A 1080p screen is severely underrated for driver stations. When you start making advanced dashboards it will be indispensable.
In this day and age, you have no excuse to at least get a 128 GB SSD. They're fairly cheap, and hard drives have been the first point of failure for our driver stations in the past.
Abundant USB ports and an Ethernet port and an absolute must.
The processor and RAM really depend on your vision code. The other posters seem to have nailed those specs.
Really what you want is a Thinkpad. They're solid, and generally have the features that a drive station needs. Mainly solid.
