Is there any Open-source firmware for CAN Motor Controllers?

Hello, this is my first post on Chief Delphi. I'm Joshua Arking, a 4 year Alumni of FRC Team 4362 where I was a programmer. My experiences in FRC gave me the skills to get a internship and eventually a job working for a startup company in Japan, and I continue working for them remotely while going to school at UM Dearborn. My boss was in Michigan for a business trip recently, and he visited our shop. Both our team and my boss have expressed interest in a partnership.

The company I work for does automotive CAN programming, and i'm wondering if there are any Roborio - compatible CAN Motor controllers that have open source firmware for a project I want to propose. They don't have to be competition-legal, just generally compatible with the rest of the FRC hardware. So far, I haven't seen any open source firmware for the Talon SRX, Jaguar, or SD540C. Thanks for your response!
