my 2 cents
from the regionals ive been to, (sj and seattle)
i think the best robots out there
1) 254 cheesypoofs (gotta love their anchor)
2) 233 rocobotz (their 6 wheel design makes them almost impossible to move sideways-good stack protection)
3) 359 waialua (speed!!!!!)
4) 492 sorrie forgot the name (their auto modes...work great..)
5) 190 wPi (the INS is beautiful, one of the few robots that could have possibly beaten our bot 2 the top..the crab design.. O_o whoa..)
6) 753 MVHS (fast, strong, and can someone say totally cOOL?? it has TRACKS and can outrun some wheeled bots!!!)

and i only saw 2 regionals..out of..many many more..im sure there was alot more...
