A little bit of remeniscing...
last year my team had 2 chics, not bad considering there were only 3 guys. When we got to competition we were told to "shut up, you do't know anything. You are a girl." This came from other teams while we were on stage strategizing. most people who know me watch me get dirty and wonder why I put up with that stuff from guys. I tell them that I don't put up with it, I simply prove them wrong by letting them see that what I say is right and it's their fault that it went wrong in the first place, because they didn't listen. At any rate, I live it up in the shop. I get to play with the lathe, mill and a plethera of other machines that keep me smiling for hours. Most of the time I get to tell teh guys on our team, " you are doing that wrong, try this." It's fun. That's not to say that the guys don't teach me stuff like calculus... That hasn't stuck yet.
