Want to learn about ROBOTICS?
For FREE?
While building a SEARCH AND RESCUE ROBOT?
And get COLLEGE CREDIT?

Here’s an EXCELLENT opportunity to learn about mechanical design,
CAD, machining, drive train, power systems, programming, etc.
Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) is creating two FREE*
summer courses, starting JUNE 17TH! You’ll earn one unit of COLLEGE
CREDIT per course! And you’ll assist the Scarabs RoboCup Team
(www.scarabs.org) in constructing a SEARCH AND RESCUE ROBOT,
to compete against some of the top robotics scientists in the world!

BUT… you’ve got to HURRY!!!!!

These are INTENSIVE, HANDS-ON courses: two 5-week sessions,
12 class hours per week. Times will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings,
6:30 – 9:30 pm, and Saturdays, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

IMPORTANT: for these courses to happen, the registrar at LATTC needs
at least 25 students to pre-register for each class. To pre-register, please
email your name, mailing address and social security number**
IMMEDIATELY to Michael Randall (mentor for the Harvard Westlake
Saracens US FIRST team #1148, and Team Coordinator for the Scarabs
RoboCup search and rescue team).

TO REGISTER: Registration forms will be mailed to you. Students under
18 will need permission from both their parents and their school to attend.

SPACE IS LIMITED! PRE-REGISTER NOW to save your space!

The classes will be held in Building F (SE corner of Washington Blvd. and
Flower St. If you’re headed south on Grand, turn right on Washington,
CROSS Flower St. (no left turn allowed there), make a U-turn at the next
intersection, then turn right on Flower and park on the street. (Metered
