I don't go shopping at malls, because I can't ever find anything that fits quite right. I'm a little top-heavy and I have wide hips, which doesn't help when stores like Abercrombie and the Gap advertise very thin, flat, narrow girls.
However, thrifting has always fit my needs. When I was in high school, most of my clothes said weird area names and place on them, such as 'Tarpman', 'Forever Green', or my personal favorite, 'Grampa Al'. I got a couple of memorable slogans, too - 'Court Reporters Are Touchy People!', 'Frazza's Barnyard 88/89?', and 'Johnson's U-Pick Apples'. My pants have ranged over the years from plaid, huge 60" bottoms, floods, regular baggy jeans, low-risers, and now my new favorite, polyester. I've even helped my brother find a three-piece herringbone twill suit for his graduation - a whopping $7.
I've always been a thrifter... no reason to stop now.

...maybe I oughta rethink that whole 'winner of the men's division fights the winner of the women's division' thing in
this thread... I'm only 5'5" 1/2!
