You have to remember, not every team can afford to go to 3 events. Travel, food, and hotel costs a lot of money, in case you didn't know. Many teams just opt for 1 regional and nationals.

If' to answer a hypothetical question about how the championship would be formatted if an incredibly high number of people wanted and could attend.
