If you take a look at our last year robot http://www.gforcerobotics.com/robot/Pict7.html you will see a fairly close up of the light. For sizing you can use the aluminum frame tubing. It is 1" square.
On the bottom of the light are two studs. One positive and one negative. I don't know what the spacing is.
Also you must mount the light to a non-conductive base. We used 1/8" lexan.
