Wow. I really appreciate the honor. It is not everyday (or ever for me) that a near stranger takes time out of his or her day to recognize what I and others do. I am just so, oh I can't even find a word for it. I've had a rough few days and I can't begin to tell you how much this means to me. Thank you so much.
I know darn well that I've taken far more out of these boards than I've put in but I still have a ways to go. One day soon the numbers will reverse.
Today marks the day that I've been here for just one year, although it seems like it has been a lifetime. I look forward to the next year of my membership taken to an even higher level.
Every one of my 1043 posts thus far have been purely for the passion of the hobby, and the benefit of the community. I must have spent a grand total of over a month of my life here on these boards just in the past year.
I have taken so many tardies to class just because I knew someone out there in FIRST was waiting for an answer to an important question and I had it.
There is hardly half a day that goes by without a trip to these familiar orange and gray colors on my screen.
I know that with every one of my posts several of you will be reading. That's why I do it. Of all of you on these boards, I have only met two of you in person. But I still know what is inside of each and every one of you that makes me keep returning here like my home address is a URL.
It is so wonderful to be thanked.
I look forward to continue helping all those with inquiring minds, and I look forward to having mine inquire as well.
Life is full of questions. This board brings more. And the great part is, from Brazil to England to Canada to California to Manchester, we are all in this thing together, and can meet at this common place to answer them.
I am truly honored, and I thank all those who have helped the Chief Delphi forums become what they have today.
Sincerely,
sanddrag
PS. If you all were wondering where my CD name comes from heres how the story goes. One year ago, I was had a couple browser windows open; one Chief Delphi and the other the Auto Recycler. I was reading a thread on here that I felt that I really needed to reply so I decided to register. In the Auto Recycler window was a Jeep for sale that had been modified for drag racing on the beach. Back on CD, I figured that all the good names would be taken and need a number or something to get an available one. So, I needed something unique but easy to remember. The first thing that hit my mind was sanddrag, so there you have it, and here I am.
