This weekend was insane. And for John's and Ken's delight, we almost did a "We Love Ken" and "JVN" cheer... but I chickened out. Sorry. Some other quotes:
"I'm missing my foreign kid. Where's my foreign kid?" - me, in self-proclaimed Field Trip Mode
"Andy never called. *sigh* Don't you hate it when you give them your number and they still never call? I feel so shafted." - me
Josh: "Why don't you take a break?"
me: "We're still broken."
Josh: "Alright, when aren't you going to be broken?"
me: "Gimme like 10 minutes."
-ten minutes later, and after a match-
Josh: "Are you ready to get lunch?"
me: "Well... we just broke down again."
That set the precedence for the whole weekend.
"Let's just 'Office Space' the whole thing."
"No, let's just beat it to pieces with it's own battery!"
"Well, I've always wanted to send it flying off a flight of stairs. How cool would that be?"
- kids from 1020, deciding how to destroy this year's "learning experience" and start from scratch
...and then, the best quote ever - "What's a hog?" - Shrutish from 1020
Josh and I felt like the newbies of CD amidst a sea of oldschoolers, and for the most part stuck to ourselves. Hopefully next time I won't be running around in a blind panic for most of the competition, and I'll actually have time to sit around and talk to some CD'ers.
