SME is the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. The cards were supposed to be you "ticket" into the team parties last year but they didn't get them out in enough time. Plus. like Nate said, it also helps them gather information. So, just take a couple minutes, fill it out, and you get this little nifty card sent to you in the mail.
