Consumer Reports Tests Segway

Consumer Reports tried out the Segway, and briefly covers it in an October 2003 article, "Segway technology: What’s next?."

Conclusions:

"The Segway is well designed, easy to master, and fun to ride, but expensive and of limited use. "

The only recommendation:

"Last year, Consumers Union joined with other groups in urging Congress not to grant the Segway sidewalk access until safety issues could be assessed."

The article also mentions the iBot and Deka, but not Dean Kamen.
