The Southern California Regional Robotics Forum (SCRRF) is sponsoring its annual Fall Workshop for all teams and their members. This is a great opportunity for team members to receive training in a variety of important robotics and team topics, including: basic and advanced drive systems,
Innovation First control system, custom electronics, pneumatics, arms and lifts, CAD, computer animation, website design, FLL mentoring, summer robotics camps, Chairman's Award, team organization, mentoring best practices, team spirit, team fundraising, and RoboEducators. We have invited several
distinguished presenters, including Glenn Thoroughman from the Kingman Bionic Bulldogs, FIRST Regional Director Jason Morrella, Innovation First President
Tony Norman, Mark Leon of NASA AMES, and others.
The fee for team registration is $50 per team (unlimited number of team members) if received by Nov. 1 and $75 after Nov. 1 (teams that paid registration fee for the Fall Classic have the workshop fee included in their competition fee, so there is no need for those teams to submit an additional fee). Mail your Workshop fee to W. Wooten, SCRRF Fall Workshop, 21201
Celtic St., Chatsworth, CA 91311 with a check made payable to SCRRF.
We are asking for teams to volunteer to present at least one workshop on a topic that they feel qualified to cover. Please sign up by email to assist with the sessions. If you have material to share with teams, please email it by Nov. 5 so that we can prepare a copy for all teams. Also, we would like each team to prepare a team spirit poster with your team logo, uniform,
button, swap, etc. which can be displayed in the team spirit poster session.
We would also like all teams to prepare a robot design poster to highlight design features of their robots to share in a robot design poster session.
Email which workshop(s) your team will cover and material to be distributed to:
